Motivational Artist Trading Block with Visible Image

Hello everyone, today I show you how to create a nice gift for a friend, a colourful motivational block, very easy to make:
You can start with a bunch of gel prints and cover a wooden block or you can create your own Artist Trading Block out of grey cardstock
You can even put a small gift inside

STEP BY STEP:
Gel print 6 cardstock square cut to size
Stencil them with Distress Oxide
Stamp every square with a quote from Visible Image Look Forward With Hope  sentiment stamp set
Glue down every cardstock to the Artist Trading Block sides (this is a Eileen Hull die)

GelPrinted Artist Trading Block with a Minialbum

A big question: what to do when you cannot stop gel printing and you collect just tons of gel prints? This time I decided to make an Artist Trading Block, so popular just a couple of years ago (here, herehere here, here my ATBs from the past). And since this ATB was big enough to hold something inside and I had still gel prints left...Are you curious?;-)
Curiose? ;-)
And inside..

ArtistTradingBlock: Spring is in the air for Indigoblu

And Spring is in full rage right now, best season of the year, for sure! And it is also the new theme on the IndigoBlu blog 'Spring is in the air'. I created an ATB with a lovely stamp set and bright colours. I started with a A4 size cardstock sprayed with acrylic paints and cut to size:

With the leftovers I made two bookmarks, super easy!

TIMI: ATB in Paris

This month at the CraftStamper TIMI challenge blog for the 'Take a technique' the theme is 'Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper' (and stamping, of course)  like the strapline on the new look on the Craft Stamper cover. We had fun with the new ATB kits from Calico Craft, that it is also the sponsor of this month prize. I love ATB and I loved this kit, I covered every side of the cubes with patterned papers and then I stamped over them.

ATB, Upcycled cornflakes box and Crackle

The new 'Take a Technique' theme at TIMI is Texture: I made an Artist Trading Block out of a cereal box ( I don't have any cutting machine here for the proper Sizzix die).
In one of the two parcels sent me from Italy there was the Distress Crackle Clear Rock Candy. I never used this stuff, because everytime I got a poor result, but this time, since the limited supplies on hands, I didn't give up until I got the gorgeous texture I always see on the web.
The colours came from a lucky experiment: I gessoed the cardstock and then I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.
When dry I got a grey-sh, blu-ish pink-ish sad stuff...the gesso or the cardstock, sucks all the colours, I just wanted to throw away everything.
When I saw the rocky cracle candy on my desk (since I was using it on an AJ page)...I tried to scrap a thick layer on the cardstock and the day after the colours were back!!
I don't know which chemical reation happened but I was so happy!
And the texture, lovely!
And this is the AJ page where I used also the crakle:
The background has been made by cleaning my stencils and then scraping a thick layer of crackle. The image was so beautiful I decided that the page didn't need anything else. Sometimes less is more.

With this page I participate on the challenge  on ArtJournal Journey: Masculine /Feminine
