EcoPrinting No Boiling No Mordant, does it work?!

Hello everyone, it's been a pretty while since I posted here, and in the meantime I got hooked by, well, another obsession: eco printing! I attended a very thoroughly -in person- workshop about it, and I was pretty sure I would never attempted it in the future because it was too much hassle, especially the boiling and the mordant part (adding some chemicals to the water to prep the fabric/paper). 

But curiosity won me over and I decided to ride the heat wave that hit Italy this Summer. I made several experiments, and filmed two videos, very long ones, you can watch them double speed, since my English is pretty simple and I speak slow :-)

First experiments using a tin can, iron blanket on paper:

VideoTutorial: Butterfly Booklet with GrafixArts

Spring is in the air? Not so far, here in Sardinia. And today a new video in collaboration with GrafixArts where I had a lot of fun playing with alcohol inks, Dura-bright and the butterfly SVG file you can download for free from my latest newsletter:

Video Tutorial: New Stencils Tamara and Modern Times

Welcome back everyone :-). After a long break here we are again, with cooler temperature (finally!!), a new video and new stencils! These are inspired by Tamara de Lempicka and 1930 geometric patterns. I hope you like them:

I've created a triptych faux tag out of a A4 gel printed sheet, love this how it turned it out.

Slow Stitched Fabric Journal

My latest stitched project (lately I stopped a bit, too hot even in the evening) a mini fabric journal where I stitched some tiny stitched embellishments with a cover made out of cheese cloth: I was fascinated by the organic stitching by Mirjan Gielen, so I bought one of her tutorial and tried it. I loooove it!
