Well, I am still obsessed with seahorses, can't help! And this time I created a colourful home for a bunch of them: an old book, a happy and colourful place where to swim and meet. In this post I show you the cover and video tutorial, in the next post the inside of this book.
This book cover was meant to be super steampunk, with cogs, in brown, with a rusty look, but well, it didn't work and after a couple of days I started again. I show in the video the whole process, it is ok sometime to change idea and accept that an artwork doesn't suit you. Gesso fixes everything!

Hurray, two videos to watch! I think I love the cover even more... the steampunk seahorse made me smile already, and the shimmer on the texture of the book boards is beautiful. A real treat to have some time to catch up a little... I've missed visiting.
