Tutorial Silhouette Cameo Dust Cover and FREE template cut file

And after only one year and a half I finally took the plunge and made a dust cover for my Cameo Silhouette cutting machine. I seldom use it and it was becoming a dust collector and I hate it. So, I dig a bit on the web and found several tutorials about it. It's really a simple sewing project and I used, as usual, an old white bed sheet  heavily stencilled with acrylic paints. The template is very easy, I used this article on Schlosser Designs as reference and I even made a cut file to download (if you usually use your Cameo, unlike me :-)) to cut the fabric for you.

E finalmente, dopo un anno mezzo dal grande acquisto ho deciso di fare la copertina per la Cameo Silhouette: la uso poco e si stava impolverando tanto. In internet si trovano diversi tutorial, io ho usato questo su Schlosser Designs e visto che c'ero ho fatto anche il file da usare per la Cameo per tagliare i fianchi della stoffa (ma non l'ho usato, eh, tranquille) da scaricare. Come stoffa ho usato il solito vecchio lenzuolo decorato poi con tanti stencil e colori acrilici.

Cut the fabric to size: two sides and a large 56x38 cm

Tagliare la stoffa seguendo il tutorial, i due fianchi ed un rettangolo 56x38 cm

Stencil, stamp, paint the fabric, whathever you like :-)

Pin like there's no tomorrow

Usare un sacco-un sacco di spilli

Sew with the sewing machine and add some text, if you like

DIY Tree Christmas decoration on budget: Sparkling Matchboxes

Have you already decked the halls? In Italy, following the tradition, you can decorate the home for Christmas on 8th December,  not a day before, not a day later, and you have to undecorate after 6th January...but of course, especially if there are children in the house, sometimes you can break this rule a start a little bit before. I've already decorated the tree, with a single one new fixture, a gorgeous new topper, and can you guess? It lasted two days, then some crazy cats attacked the tree and the new topper shattered on the floor. Anyway, today I show you a handmade Christmas decoration suitable for the three, to make a nice garland, or to put inside a small, precious gift.
Avete già decorato la casa per il Natale? Io non ho resistito fino all'8 e ho già addobbato l'albero. E quest'anno finalmente un nuovo, lucente puntale, mai avuto prima. E' durato ben due giorni, fino a quando un'orda di gatti ha buttato giù l'albero, ed il puntale si è naturalmente frantumato. Evvabeh...Oggi vi propongo una piccola decorazione per l'albero o da usare come preziosa scatolina:

Funky Matchboxes and Mini stamps

For the current theme on TIMI CraftStamper magazine blog 'Anything goes!' I created a bunch of funny and funky matchboxes. The mini stamps I used are the ones attached every month to the magazine. Since it is 4, maybe 5 years that I read this magazine I have quite lots of them!

E per il reminder post su TIMI, dove il tema di questo mese è 'Anything goes!' ho preparato delle coloratissime scatoline di fiammiferi usando i mini timbri che ogni mese sono in allegato alla rivista. E siccome la leggo da tantissimi anni, ammetto di averne un bel pò!
