TIMI and Bookbinding: A junk-book

Inspiration post at TIMI, where the theme is ''Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper' (and stamping, of course)! And after the vintage-ish, Parisian ATB, I return to my colourful style.
Lately I am a little bit overwhelmed by the junky I am collecting: boxes, papers, leftovers, fabric, don't really know where to stuff all these things. So I decided to make a junkybook, with a 'proper' binding made with the tons of papers and fabric I collected during the Printmaking course at school.
I wanted to follow this tutorial, but at the end I was too lazy and I strectched it a little bit, and no plastic bags involved...I took some pictures, but just to give you an idea, I advice you to follow one of the dozens tutorials you can find on Pinterest.

Io, con tutta la monnezza che colleziono freneticamente ho realizzato un junk book, cimentandomi persino nella rilegatura. Il tutorial che avrei voluto seguire era questo, ma poi ho un pò deragliato, e me lo sono inventato diciamo. Comunque su Pinterest si possono trovare tutorial fantastici.

Collect some papers and cardstock
Armatevi di cartoncino di recupero e avanzi di carta vari

Tear the papers to size
Strappate la carta a misura

Fold them in half
Piegate a metà

Use a poking tool to make 3 holes along the fold
Fare 3 forellini sulla piega

Stitch with a large needle
Cucire con ago e spago

Make a knot and with the same thread start with the second one
Fare un nodo e proseguire con lo stesso filo sul secondo

Make a knot and add all the pages
Chiudere con un nodo e proseguire con gli altri fogli

Link the lower binding with another thread
Legare insieme la parte inferiore con un altro filo

Add the cover
Incollare la copertina

Glue some fabric strips to the cover
Utilizzare delle striscioline di stoffa per decorare la copertina

Stamp the focal image on a piece of fabric
Timbrare l'immagine su della stoffa

Add to the cover

TIMI: ATB in Paris

This month at the CraftStamper TIMI challenge blog for the 'Take a technique' the theme is 'Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper' (and stamping, of course)  like the strapline on the new look on the Craft Stamper cover. We had fun with the new ATB kits from Calico Craft, that it is also the sponsor of this month prize. I love ATB and I loved this kit, I covered every side of the cubes with patterned papers and then I stamped over them.

Questo mese per TIMI il tema è 'Ink Stitch Paint Collage Print Paper' e timbri naturalmente! Diciamo un tema piuttosto libero, e noi del team abbiamo avuto modo di usare gli ATB in kit della Calico Craft, sponsor del premio di questo mese. I miei due cubi li ho ricoperti con patterned paper e poi timbrati, mi piace molto l'effetto vintage!

Autumn days: Altered clipboard

New theme at the IndigoBlu challenge 'Autumn days'. For the first time I altered a clipboard, these are very popular here and cheap to buy. I even got a smaller one, can't wait to alter it, too.
If you are wondering, here DownUnder Spring is approaching, but the weather is so crazy, that you can't tell, for sure!
Nuovo tema sul challenge blog della IndigoBlu, 'Giorni d'autunno', io ho alterato una lavagnetta con pinza, qui molto comuni ed economiche da trovare, dai cinesi naturalmente! Qui è Primavera, ma il tempo è cosi pazzo che non pare proprio..

ArtJournal and TIMI inspiration

An ArtJournal page for me, I made a new entry, after a long while, on my giant Dylusion journal. Even with flowers and butterflies stamps you can make a funky ArtJournal page. And no need to fancy stencils, remember fashion magazine are full of wonderful silhouette just waiting to be cut and used in your AJ pages, like I did.

First Friday of the month, new challenge at TIMI, and we are also celebrating the new, beautiful graphic of the magazine. I also have a card of mine on this issue, can't wait to have a copy on my hands. CraftyIndividuals new challenge: Clay and floral stamps

New challenge at the CraftyIndividuals' blog, and the theme is Anything goes! It's simply to participate, just use at least a CI product and you can win a stamp of your choice and for entrying a 25% discount on the shop. 
I had lot of  fun using clay and the CI background stamp 'Floral Festival': I made  a bunch of embellishments I decorate some cards and a LO with, and some pendant:

Questi abbellimenti sono grandi quanto...un mini distress ink pad :-), li ho usati come formina.

These embellishments are as big as ...the mini distress ink pads, I used one of them to cut the clay :-)

And the infamous LO :-)
