1783-Steampunk balloons

This week the theme at the CraftBarn blog is to choose a 'Memorable year'. I picked the year of the first hot air balloon's launch: it was 21st November 1783, by 2 French brothers, Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier. The balloon was launched from the centre of Paris and flew for a period of 20 minutes. 
I altered a folding chess board. From this:
Questa settimana su CraftBarn dovevamo scegliere una data memorabile. Io ho scelto il 21 Novembre 1783: il volo della prima mongolfiera. Era stata creata dai fratelli Joseph ed Etienne Montgolfier, partì dal centro di Parigi e volò per 20 minuti.
Ho alterato una vecchia scacchiera pieghevole:
