Elegance is timeless

As some of you noticed the title's post is the name of my latest set of stamp I designed for CraftyIndividuals. I just start to like my drawings (last year I challenged myself and draw again after many years) and this one is my new fave one. I had the chance to play with it a little bit as long as it arrived here DownUnder and these are some samples I made: a panel, an ArtJournal page inspired by the colours of the panel, a LO (it was ages since I've scrapbooked a photo) and a card that in real life looks like a tile, I love it!
Il titolo del post è il nome dell'ultimo set di timbri che ho disegnato per CraftyIndividuals. Naturalmente è diventato il mio nuovo preferito, e queste sono alcune cose che ho fatto, appena è atterrato qui dall' altra parte del mondo: un mini canvas, una pagina di artjournal con gli stessi colori, un LO (una vita che non ne facevo!) ed una card che semplicemnete adoro, fatta su del cartoncino spesso e che dal vivo sembra una mattonella!

Altered wooden suitcase: Frame it!

Last year I got these lovely wooden mini suitcases, and I had the chance to alter one. This time I wanted to keep it as suitcase, but couldn't find anywhere the leather handle ( why I didn't re-attached it, dunno!). So, this time I turned it out in a mini closet for a sewing kit.
(After I finished it and made the pictures I found the handle, shame on me and my messiness!)
L'anno scorso avevo messo le mani su queste mini valigette di legno con maniglia. La seconda (purtoppo senza maniglia, dopo infruttuosa ricerca) quest'anno è diventata un mini armadietto per provette sarte (dopo aver finito e fatto le foto ho ritrovato la maniglia, grrrr, molto utile):

Altered tin e Pencils

Inspiration post at TIMI this weekend, where the theme is 'Pencils and Markers', and the sponsor is Chocolate Baroque.
Ed oggi sul blog di CraftStamper magazine una carrellata di nuovi progetti, uno più bello dell'altro per il tema 'Matite e penne'. Io ho alterato una scatolina metallica:

I altered a little tin, using book pages and pencils

After:

The cat is adorable!

Il gatto è troppo carino!

To make this, I covered the lid with book pages, using gel medium
Per farla, ho ricoperto con delle pagine di dizionario

I gesso the tin and some paper flowers

Gessato insieme a dei fiori  di carta

I coloured the background with watercolored pencils

Colorato con i pastelli acquarellabili

I stamped, cut  and coloured with the same watercolored pencil the main image

Stampato, ritagliato e colorato l'immagine

I glued all the elements to to the lid, along with some beads and metallic embellishments.

Incollato tutti gli elementi al coperchio, insieme a degli abbellimenti

And I'm very happy that a piece of mine is featured on the latest issue of my favourite magazine :-)

Video tutorial: Colour a face stamp with pencils

And like every first Friday of the month,there's a new challenge at TIMI CraftStamper blog, where the new theme is 'Pens and Pencils' and you can win a stamp from Chocolate Baroque.
Since I have a brand new pencils set from school, and the new stamp I designed for CraftyIndividuals was waiting to be inked, I got two birds with a stone, made three cards and a video about how to colour with colored pencils a stamped face. I really liked how this colouring turned out, I hope you enjoy the video and have a try, it's for beginners, like me, everyone can do it.
E come ogni primo venerdì del mese, parte il nuovo challenge sul TIMI CraftStamper blog dove il tema è 'Matite e penne'. Pennarelli non ne uso, i pastelli stanno nella loro scatola, al riparo dalle intemperie. Così li ho tolti religiosamente dalla loro scatola e ho fatto addirittura un video, per principianti come me e tre card, con il nuovo timbro disegnato per CraftyIndividuals.
