Cinderella goes to Halloween/Cenerentola Gotica

I wanted to alter again a shoe for ages, and eventually I found these old silver shoes in my mum's closet. They screamed : alter me alter me! And since Halloween was approaching ..:-)
Volevo alterare di nuovo una scarpa da un sacco di tempo, ma non trovavo mai la scarpa o l'ispirazione. Finalmente mi sono imbattuta in un vecchio paio di scarpe di mia madre argentate, perfette secondo me per Halloween!

Shadow box with a twist/Bacheche e cards

Avevo queste bacheche da alterare, i nuovi timbri della CraftyIndividuals, e l'ultimo tema del challenge blog: Natale o/e Halloween. Ho messo insieme il tutto, per creare una card natalizia, mascherata da minibacheca: tutti gli abbellimenti sono fatti a mano, che pazienza, mi sono superata!
I had these minishadow boxes in my stash for ages, I wanted to alter them, I'd like to use the new stamps by CraftyIndividuals and I'd like to fit the theme, on the CI challenge blog: Christmas/ Halloween...here we are, all together:

I hand-made the minibooks from scratch, the bottles, the pendant (this one last year)

I painted with copper acrylic paint
Dipinto con colore acrilico rame

Brushed some gilded wax
Sporcato con cera metallizzata

Cut and glued some gessoed book pages
Tagliato ed incollato delle pagine di libro

Paint with some red metallic paint
Dipinto l'interno con dell'acrilico rosso

Stamped the little Christmas images from the Crafty Individuals CI-420 - 'Christmas Postage Stamps'

Stampato i piccoli francobolli 

Coloured them
Colorati con Distress Inks

I created the card stamping the image from Crafty Individuals CI-421 - 'A Christmas Delivery' 
Ho creato la card stampando l'immagine su del cartoncino bianco

I coloured the background with Distress ink through a mask
Ho creato lo sfondo con Distress ink ed una maschera

I coloured the image with Gelatos
L'ho colorata con i Gelatos

I added some sprakling medium
Ho aggiunto della pasta glitterata

I glued the card to the back of the shadow box

Cake decor, Roberta and my stencils

Ho deciso che cake-decor mi piace molto di più della stra-abusatissima parola cake design. Che sorpresa ho avuto qualche giorno fa, quando sul mio telefonino (non dal vivo purtroppo) mi sono arrivate queste bellissime foto dalla mia carissima amica Roberta, grande fan di Instagram, e pasticcera/cuoca coi fiocchi:
A couple of days ago I received on my phone these beautiful pictures from my dearest friend Roberta, such a nice surprise, she used my stencils to decorate these yummy cakes!

Paper Crafter Crayons and Cards

This week for Craftbarn we used the Paper Crafter crayons  by Faber Castell: for me they were a new product, I used them as a resist with mists and to colour the stamped images. I saw wonderful things made with this stuff, still, I prefer the Gelatos, but I think they will deserve a second try in the future!
Here's the step by step.
Questa settimana su CraftBarn abbiamo usato i nuovi, almeno per me, Paper Crafter crayons  della Faber Castell. Li ho usati sia come resist per i colori spray, sia per colorare le immagini timbrate. Devo ancora ri-testarli, ma per ora preferisco ancora i Gelatos.

Halloween or Christmas?

First days of the month it means a new challenge on the CraftyIndividuals blog, and this month I'm in the charge of the challenge. Since Hallooween is approaching and it's never too early to make some cards or decorations for Christmas, you can choose between these two theme or both!
Only rule is to use at least one product from CraftyIndividuals. Here are some cards I made, but more are on the way, especially since there's a new release of stamps, with two lovely Christmas stamps as well.
Primi giorni del mese, quindi nuovo challenge sul blog della CraftyIndividuals : io ho scelto i temi e visto che Halloween si sta avvicinando e per Natale non è mai troppo presto, questi sono i due temi. L'unico vincolo per partecipare è usare almeno un prodotto della CraftyIndividuals. Ho fatto alcune cards, ma in arrivo altri lavoretti con i nuovi timbri, ce ne sono due natalizi adorabili!
