July's heart and ...SSG!

E siamo arrivati a Luglio, giro di boa! Questo mese il tema era la trasparenza....e quindi vai di acetato:
It's July (  ..almost August in truth)! And the new theme at HeartJournal2012 is..transparency.

Soooo...I cut two sheets of acetate and I stamped them using black and copper StazOn:
Ho tagliato due fogli di acetato a forma di cuore, li ho timbrati entrambi usando lo StazOn bronzo e nero.

 I created a cage with copper wire 
Ho costruito una gabbietta con del filo di rame (taaaanta pazienza)

 and I put inside it a little stamped and coloured heart (why on heart she does pretend to sleep on my desk, whyyyyyyy!?) 
ho timbrato e colorato il cuore e messo all'interno della gabbia ( immagine di una gatta disperata):

 I stapled all around the edges and I stuffed the heart with clock springs and gears .I put all together using a nylon thread.
Ho pinzato le estremità, mettendo all'interno molle e meccanismi di orologi.  Ho unito i due pezzi con del filo di lenza et voila!

Poppies cards and AJ

E questa settimana su CraftBarn stiamo usando i timbri della Woodware. Mi sono di nuovo buttata sulle card, e mi è piaciuto! E da un timbro di sfondo ho ricavato un intero alfabeto -timbro. Qui il passo passo.

And this week at CraftBarn we're using the Woodware stamps. I made two cards, and I had fun making them...and I even got a new alphabet stamp from a background stamp. Here's the step by step.

And this is my new two pages of the fabric art journal, for the new theme at Scrappin' Sisters: Collage. It's very hard for me put more than two pictures together, even if I love to see collage pages.
This is dedicated to my "not" fave city: London. I've been there 3 times , almost a record for a "not" fave place. But I admit , it 's a charming city, dynamic and full of possibilities.

E continua la mia avventura con il fabric art journal, per Scrappin' Sisters. Il tema Collage non è stato facile per me perchè non è la mia tecnica preferita, non sono mai riuscita a mettere più di due immagini insieme, anche se quando vedo dei bei collage li ammiro tantissimo.

Questa pagina e' dedicata a Londra, la mia "non" citta' preferita, ma sicuramente un posto di gran fascino e che potrebbe offrire molte occasioni. Ci sono stata già  tre volte e questo è quasi un record....per la mia 'non' citta preferita. :-). Il te' , la regina, la pioggia, i loro colori, tanti luoghi comuni , ma anche una città viva, dinamica e multicurale.

Shower-gel and .../Riciclo bagnoschiuma

This week at CraftBarn we're using embossing dies. I used them with sticky back canvas, and don't throw away the embossed back part because we are going to use later in the future. I cut and decorate an empty bottle of shower-gel.
Questa settimana su CraftBarn usiamo le mascherine da embossing. Io le ho usate sullo sticky back canvas per alterare una bottiglietta vuota di doccia schiuma. E non buttate la parte dietro del canvas...perche' la useremo prossimamente.

E non posso non menzionare il gigantesco blogcandy su CraftyIndividual, per celebarre i loro nuovi timbri e mascherine da taglio.
Ho incontrato Jean e Malcom all'Extravaganza, sono stati gentilissimi e adorabili: fra le altre cose Malcom offriva la scelta di un timbro da una scatola piena piena...e quel momento di imbarazzo, oddio mo' quale scelgo, avrei voluto dire, perchè non mi dai tutta la scatola? :-)

Fabric!

E questa settimana su CraftBarn: stoffaaaaaa!! Beh, diciamo da qualche anno la mia base preferita, anche se, lo dico sempre, non so cucire!  
 Potete trovare diverse stoffe nel negozio, romantiche o colorate, insieme al cotone grezzo ed a alcuni pezzi già pronti da alterare. Per l'occasione ho fatto due nuovi cuscini per il divano, uno con la macchina da cucire, l'altro con della colla e delle spille da balia.
E quindi vi presento Pinkerly:
And the main character this week at CraftBarn is ...Faaaaaabric!!! There are lot of new fabrics on the shop, romantic and colorful ones. You know how much I love to use fabric in my projects, so this is definitely my fave week. Even if...I'm not very good at sewing! 
So this time I made two pieces of home decor, one using the sewing machine, and the other one , just glue and safety pins. 
With no further ado, let me to introduce you...Pinkerly, a new addition to my sofa (along with the real one):

Extravaganza!!

C'ero anch'iooooooo!!!Ho prenotato in un momento di pazzia, ma ne e' valsa la pena.Venerdi' ho seguito un corso con il super famoso Andy Skinner, e sabato ho potuto assistere a diverse dimostrazioni e conoscere gli altri membri del design team e Sandy, la padrona di CraftBarn. E' un'altra cosa incontrare delle persone con cui si e' lavorato per un anno, ma solo virtualmente.Un'incredibile esperienza!
I was there!!! Such a wonderful experience!I booked in a moment of craziness, but it worth every single moment of it. On Friday I attended a course with the super  famous Andy Skinner, and on Saturday I had a glimpse of the demonstrator and I met my design team member from CraftBarn, and Sandy, the shop's owner.  I was a real pleasure to met them in real life.
This is the piece I made with Andy and other lovely ladies, the original one was a little bit greener, but I asked for a little variation...in pink, of course!
Questo e' il pezzo che abbiamo completato con Andy ed io ho chiesto una piccola variazione al colore originario, da verde a ..rosa, naturalmente.

And speaking about Andy's course still making lots of practice with the online course 'Timeworn', and there's a new session in August, if you want to learn lots of new techniques!
 My new fave craft item at the moment is...the butan torch...look at these two pieces :
E a proposito di Andy, continuo a fare pratica col corso on line 'Timeworn', ci sara' un'altra sessione ad Agosto, io lo consiglio !! Il mio nuovo strumento preferito è la torcia  a butano, quella dei pasticceri, e queste sono due cose fatte proprio con la torcia.

Che ne dite di questi timbri veramente inusuali e divertenti?? Sono il tema di questa settimana su CraftBarn, i timbri della Art Impressions. Io mi sono divertita ad usarli non solo su delle card, ma anche su una pagina dell'AJ, in fondo sono io, con il mio scooter e la gatta...magari fra qualche annetto!

This week, at CraftBarn, we will be featuring the lovely and funny Art Impressions stamps.This is no definitely my style and my cup of tea, but when I see this very stamp I thought...this is me, with my Vespa and my Dido...maybe in a couple of years! :-)
And since I was playing why not to add some cards? And I very happy with the result, even if these are not perfect!
Hope you give a try to these stamps, too.We need more smilies in our life.
